Blessed and Grateful

I am braver than brave today, for I have walked a mile or 2 or 3. But it was the sun glistening on the ocean, the ships at sea, the seagulls all in place, the waves crashing gently on the rocks, the old, the young, the middle aged, the ones pushing prams driven by determination, the athletes, the lunges on the side walks, the warm ups on the lawn, the grandma’s in convey with large sunhats, the guy cleaning the canoes, the ice cream man, the trainers, the para-gliders, the sprinklers – all – set so perfectly, they almost never touch.

It was me on my walk, briskness of life, caught by the crashing wave, watching her splash by my feet, I smiled and breathed in, her every drop of divinity, as though she splashed just for me. It was my feet in the icy water, as I gazed out far beyond, and knew, like I knew, like I knew, that I am truly blessed.
