It’s not often that I make time to stop and smell the roses, but when I do, life has a different meaning.
I know that I should make more of an effort to do those simple, the doing nothing things, instead of being caught up in a world of lets see how much you can get done today and if you will complete that to do list this time? It’s not only exhausting but I find that it takes me completely away from what I really want to be doing, which is taking time out for the simple pleasures. Sometimes when life is one long rush of reaching goals and putting out fires, we don’t achieve as much as we anticipate yet when we push ourselves to just be, we find the answers we didn’t seem to have before.
The world needs more happiness, smiles, hugs and laughter.
Perhaps if we smile more often, the world will smile back at us, it will make us better, in ourselves and others.
We never know how someone else is feeling, whether it’s someone close to us or a complete stranger, but when we smile at someone, we not only say so many things at once through a smile, we also create a bit of joy in someone else’s life and isn’t that what life is all about?
